Studio 1 Neve Desk
About the Neve 51 Series
Designed by David Pope ? Designer of the Neve V Series
The desk combines classic Neve qualities into what is a thoroughly modern desk with features taken for granted by V series and SSL users.It is similar to the V in many ways with in line monitoring and dynamics on each of its 60 channels giving 120 inputs on mix down.
Channel Facilities include:
* Neve transformer balanced mic amps ? excellent quality.
* Sweepable high and low pass filters.
* Compressor / limiter / gate with variable threshold and switchable ratio / speed ? very natural sounding.
* 8 auxilliary sends ? independently switchable pre / post fade
* Switchable insert pre / post EQ and dynamics.
* 4 band swept EQ ? Classic V1 style ? more natural sounding than the Neve VR
* Monitor section with switchable auxillary sends, dynamics and EQ.
With 60 channels, the desk still achieves a very low noise floor; a clean sound ? all and more you would expect from a Neve.
The console is fully automated with the Audiomate moving fader system ? also designed by David Pope. It uses an Apple Mac as a host computer and is very logical and intuitive. It combines a straight forward and clear operating system, with complex features not found on the most expensive systems.
These include;
* Separate fader and mute groups
* Selectable hard disk archiving
* Full offline trimming and editing
* Storage of fader and mute snapshots which can be recalled on the fly
