Kate Koumi
Owner and Managing Director

With a broad area of experience within the music industry, Kate began her career in A&R at Polydor Records before being hired by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd to run the newly transformed Britannia Row Studios, built by the Floyd in the 70's. She swiftly became a director and board member of Britannia Row Ltd.

During the 90's Kate branched-out into other areas, including General Manager of Soul II Soul Records, working closely with Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper. She also set-up her own management company, managing producers such as Martyn Philips (Jesus Jones, The Christians), engineers Dillon Gallagher (So Solid Crew, Ed Case) and James Loughrey (Page and Plant, Bjork, Sugababes).

Kate was also integral to the re-structuring of the APRS/Accord and was appointed Chairman. In the mid-1990's Kate purchased Britannia Row Studios from Nick Mason of Pink Floyd and moved the studio to it's current location in Fulham, West London.

2009 sees Britannia Row Studios in it's 33rd year, 24 years of which have been with Kate at the helm.
